Frontier Communications → [FiOS] Am I able to use any router I want with west frontier fios?

When frontier released their symmetrical packages, I had upgraded to the 50/50. They then added a new small device named Zyxel which the coax now connects to and from this device to my router it connects via Ethernet. So now that I have an Ethernet cable to my router, am I able to purchase any new router I like and use it? or will this small device Zyxel prevent this from happening?

Unless you have FiOS TV, the short answer is yes.
