[Equipment] Want to use my own modem, currently have Arris DG1670a

I would like to use a modem of my own instead of the Arris DG1670a, I'm planning to change it with my own ARRIS SURFboard SB6190 DOCSIS 3.0 Gigabit+ Cable Modem.

Should I just call RCN and tell them to deactivate the current modem I have and give them the new mac address to get it set up?

I swapped out my modem a few days ago. I know I could have called, but mine was actually done while I was away by one of the rcncares people right here. You could always send them a message »/profi ··· /1818734
