[trueSTREAM] Re: TrueSTREAM hardware? The installation tech will install a new jack for you, although usually they just run the wire along the edge of the wall rather than snake it inside. You'd want to indicate where you want the gateway to be when he's done, to make sure he installs the jack at an appropriate location (generally as long as the desk in question is within 10' or so you should be fine).
Note that the location of the jack is pretty much set after installation, but you can move the gateway around to the extent that the cord will reach. You can also temporarily disconnect the cord if you need to for some reason (like if you're wallpapering the room or w/e). We don't have any diagrams since each install is unique to each location (although if any posters care to take pictures of how their own installs went, they could post those I suppose). |

Any install needed outside the building? |

An outside line does need to be connected to the MPOE (phone box) which is typically on the side of the building, but that is usually done before your installation date (by a separate cable team if necessary) if it's not already present. |
