Re: 'Frontier Direct' forum on DSLReports? This is one of the MANY functions we will lose as our services transition to Frontier. Things like the FiOS Mobile App and it's extensive live streaming, the ability to manage many things about our accounts on MyVerizon, etc. Over the years I've read many complaints about Verizon, and I've made a few myself. We didn't know how good we had it. We'll soon find out. |

And all the online functions of My Verizon you ( we ) will lose, Frontier has NO online ordering or pricing tools, it was so broken they took it all down and now you have to call in ( I have read ) for anything |

All Frontier lets you see are a limited amount of pre-configured bundles. They used to do address specific checks, but the same pre-configured bundle thing still applied, except they showed a little bit more. One of the reasons I suspect they got rid of it was the fact that it made TV orders seem more troublesome than they should be. There was no way to say how many receivers you needed along with customize anything at all. I'm not sure how it completely worked, but I would assume most of it had to be handled over the phone anyway. I have asked Frontier a few times for a Frontier Direct forum, but there hasn't been much luck yet it seems with that. There are also the Frontier Twitter and Facebook accounts. I can't really comment on how well they do on more area service problem issues, but they do pretty well on handling billing/truck roll/misc. problems, at least in my experience. |

The Verizon Direct forum is actually monitored by the Social Media team (not technicians). They have access to the many internal resources customers can't access directly. These are the same that manage their Twitter and Facebook Verizon Support accounts. So maybe we should ask the Frontier Twitter/Facebook accounts if they would support a DSL Reports "Frontier Direct" forum like Verizon does. |

Let Facebook and Twitter handle what they do, and give the more technically savvy access to the support they need. Probably way off topic, but why was I asked for my CPE MAC address on my last support call? |

That's what I have already done a few times lol. They said they thought it was neat and would look into it. But I haven't seen anything, so they were probably just telling me that to go away . said by DeLiver Probably way off topic, but why was I asked for my CPE MAC address on my last support call? Seems a little odd, but maybe it was due to how they're managing modems now? |
