Same happened here. We had a kick-ass call center and top notch customer service. Once it was sold to Optimum, it was about the same.. but once it was sold to Charter, it was practically gutted. I have never had such bad customer service. Before, they could track the issue on their end. Now? Nope. They have to schedule a tech to come out. Even the techs were.. questionable.. not like before when we had an actual local tech come out and was quite knowledgeable about Coax. I could even call in for support and just ask for a Tier 2 without issues.
Expect your customer service to drop like a freakin' rock, along with watching your local techs disappear. If there's a call center, expect it to be gutted.
