Re: [Internet] Rogers is now listing Gigabit internet on their website!

I hear Kitchener is a great area. Ya, Rogers works fast once they set their eyes on a targeted location. The weather is warming up and getting better which helps a lot. I don't know why they would still think that "just a few select areas in Toronto". I am north of Toronto in an area called King City. It is available to me. I would think all of Toronto should already be upgraded, some GTA area's have it already.

No gigabit here in High Park, which is basically 4 subway stops worth of residential area (lots of houses, lots of condos and apartments). Not sure if it's just "a few select areas" but it's definitely not all of Toronto.

I live downtown at University/Wellington and gigabit is still not available here. I keep checking every week.

Well, it blows my mind how Rogers does not completely finish one job which is Toronto and upgrade other area's like King City instead. I am glad that they did my area but my logic is telling me completely finish job #1 then move to other jobs.

You are talking about Rogers here. Logic and incumbents don't mix. Just like Bell and their FTTN and FTTH priorities.

But Toronto is not "one job." Almost all of King City would fit inside East York, and more than 10x King City's population rides the 504 King streetcar every day. They probably upgraded your unincorporated community in an afternoon.
