Verizon DSL → [Modem/Router] Need help to configure my Actiontec properly

Could someone lend me their knowledge to set up my Actionec GT784WNV(owned it for years). I don't know all the proper settings for speed, connectivity and security. I never knew Verizon had a settings url for Actiontec. Seems there is about 100 or so settings. I can search Google and try to understand but there is just to much info to acquire. I know enough to get myself in trouble. lol. Thank you to anyone or all for your help

To help you set up your Actiontec, we need to know some information.

Lets start with the most important:

Are you in an ex-Bell or ex-GTE service area?

I can either set it up for you or if you would prefer you could trade it for a D-Link DSL-2750b h/w v:T (I've removed the verizon proprietary firmware and placed D-Links latest firmware on it, which gives access to the USB port on the back)... I have two of them and they are completely setup for verizon DSL, you only have to put you verizon user name and password into the setup and you will be off to the races (top speed down is 27 mbps depending on your plan and distance from HQ).
