Someone I know in downtown Silver Spring took a walk a short while ago and came across the incident location (between United Therapeutics and Parks and Planning along Spring Street). They said it was a total mess with lots of burn marks - possibly squirrel caused (pure speculation there). Also approximately nine trucks - a mix of Verizon, RCN, Pepco, etc. Lots of people, some working and some standing around.
