Autorun vs Autoplay Security?

Click for full size
Hi,

For security, I had disabled Autoplay through the Win10 device settings. But is this enough to also disable Autorun as well by keeping programs from automatically running when inserting a USB or DVD media?

So if Autoplay is disabled from the Settings/Devices menu, will I be safe from malware like Stuxnet and so on?
Or, will I have to do any additional settings to configure in Settings?

Now, of course, I would not just stick a DVD or USB media right off the street or even given by me from a friend. So common sense plays a huge roll to this.

And also, can programs be automatically executed from USB or DVD media even if the PC is locked or asking for user credentials?

(In its day) AutoRun Settings was the tool of choice (my tool of choice).

(Whether its still applicable to Win10, don't know?)

You have it disabled so why not just test it for yourself and see. Lock the pc and insert a usb stick. unlock the pc and see if anything launched (explorer, etc). Same with a cd or dvd. Lock the pc and insert something in the drive.....did it launch anything?
