ATT u-verse cannot be trustedMy U-verse service started on June 27. I became dissatisfied with ATT shortly after so I called the company and told them I was ready to cancel my service. The representative told me that I had a 30 day trial period and if I cancelled within that time I would not have to pay the penalties. This was news to me because on one ever told me about the 30 day trial period when I signed up. I decided to stay with ATT to see if things would improve but things got worse. The first technician that installed the equipment did such a sloppy job that they sent someone else to clean up his mess. Then the TV picture would continuously break up and each time I called they told me to unplug the modem. The picture be fine for a while and then it would start breaking up again. One time I tried to solve the problem by chatting the the website and 6 times I was transferred to someone else. I finally signed off before they could transfer me to the seventh rep. ATT finally sent me a new modem and within a week I started having problems again -- the picture would not turn on at all, so on July 22 I called ATT and told them to cancel my service. The the representative told me I could cancel but that I would have to pay a $300 penalty because I wan canceling after the 2 week trial period. I told him that I was told that I could cancel during my 30 day trial period not 2 weeks. He told me that I was misinformed at which time I asked to speak to his supervisor. He told me that she was buy but if I left my number she would call me back. She never did. ATT is a corrupt and dishonest company that cannot be trusted. |

Contact the social media group on Twitter. @attcares. You can cancel under 30 days. You pay for the service you used and pay for installation. Read your tos to confirm this. The social media group can get your services fixed too. NEVER use chat. |

Contacting Tier 2 support would of gotten you farther along than where you ended up. |

First...I am not a techy. That being said, I had the same issue you had for months after AT&T switched me to U-Verse. I had a number of techs out to fix the issue with no luck until the last tech came. There were multiple issues to include problem with the junction box at the end of my street, issues with the main junction box in town and an issue with the main line on my street, all fixed by my last tech (Bless him!) So you may want to mention these fixes to the next tech.
Also when you lose service call AT&T during normal business hours and ask them to credit your account.
