442 - Grounding Module with AC Outlet

Hey Everyone,

I recently upgraded to the Fios Quantum gateway router to replace my Fios TV subscription with PS Vue. After I installed the router I started experiencing intermittent speed drops. I went over everything and realized one of the coax cables going to the grounding module was loose. I tightened it back up and all my problems went away, but me being a perfectionist I went back to make sure it was tighter so it wouldn't happen again. That's when the connector literally broke off in my hand.

I'm looking to replace the module, eBay has the following listings.

»www.ebay.com/itm/TII-442 ··· MNxXVZx7 (This is the same one I had, I have a modem ONT installed in my apartment. I believe there's another terminal in the basement. The tech who installed it 2 years ago didn't actually have a green ground wire going to it.)

»www.ebay.com/itm/tii-442 ··· zJ5XerYA
(I would prefer to use this one since it's more aesthetically pleasing, but would it serve the same purpose?)

-Thanks

I'd pick the second one. There is less to go wrong.

Thanks! It should do the same exact thing as the first one right?

To me the one you want is a simple barrel connector. It doesn't have to go in/out of the box. (My reason)

Funny, I'd wish VZ defaulted to the second one. I've already gone through several replacements with the one in the first link.

The BLACK One is the current model. It replaced the cream colored one. We are supposed to replace the cream colored ones when we come across them.

Oh.. I just bought the cream colored one because it looks less problematic. I'm hoping it's not a big deal. It looks better built and less complicated. Not much to go wrong with a barrel connector.
