Legendary itemsWho has them, who doesn't?
We are into week three and I've logged plenty of hours with many emissary world quest satchels opened, but no legendary yet. Every time I dump more class hall resources into class hall advancement, I give a sardonic chuckle at the bottom box which allows you to equip an extra legendary item. |

Each time I click open an emissary satchel I have a little hope, just like when I check my lottery numbers... Now I just wear a little twist tie around my finger and pretend it's a legendary...
That said, I only ran dungeons like 2 or 3 times and the pug tank had the bear legendary ring, so they exist! |

How many quests did you have to do for this twist tie ring? And did your wife hold punctuation over her head when you turned them in? "You have been award 10pts with the Wife faction for having completed the quest 'Take out the trash'" |

I'm just curious how many have received them as it seems that quite a few have been obtained by people in the first couple of weeks (based on what I've seen on our guild line, in Reddit, and various other forums). Curious to what the average time length is before someone gains one. |

Correct me if I'm wrong but it is dependent on the content you're doing, right? Like, certain activities, such as some World Quests or (eventual) raiding have a higher chance of awarding a Legendary? |

Not 100% sure tbh. Pretty much the only summarized info I have is what was listed in the Medivh spreadsheet here on the forums: » docs.google.com/spreadsh ··· pubhtml#In that it refers to most having received a legendary within 1-2 weeks on the Beta. And that most came from the loot chest dailies (which I read as the emissary WQs). |

I probably just need to grind more dungeons. The folks that I know who have received them are typically part of a five man group that consistently runs dungeons (or at least did the first two weeks until they were pretty much fully geared through Mythics). |
|
| |
From what I understood, it's strictly from heroic/mythic bosses and emissary faction daily WQ caches. There are two people in my guild that have one so far (our main tank and one of our healers). I have so far done every single faction WQ for the cache, and got gold every time except the two times I got around 600 order resources. |

Funny troll story that I was fortunate enough to experience yesterday (/s) - One of the WQs required I go into the Eye of Azhura dungeon and kill x number of naga and x number of turtles. I queue through LFD and get a group who were killing the needed mobs. What luck I thought. I didn't realize this at the time, but the four others in the group were all from the same guild. We needed one more turtle to complete the WQ requirement when I was booted from the group and then whispered "#getfriends". Good times. Sometimes my least favorite thing about WoW is that it is an MMO. (Like saying I don't like water because it is wet, yes I know) |

I would hope you reported them. Probably won't accomplish anything but that kind of dick-ish troll behavior should be a valid reason to report. |

I have yet to hit 110, let alone chasing Legendary items. I don't even know if I will make the effort to chase them as I'm hearing LFG is getting pretty anal about ilvl now. I guess the "fun" is over when you hit 110 and it's all seriousness and numbers.
I will admit I've over Legion already. Between a garbage computer, 12 toons to grind, and a few problems at home. WOW has to take a back seat for a bit. |

Yesterday was moreso the latter. I just put the person on ignore and went back to completing the solo WQ I was working on before the LFD queue had popped. said by Snakeoil:I will admit I've over Legion already. Yeah I'm not looking forward to grinding out all my toons, but this expansion will be around for 2 years and I'm sure by the end all of the toons I want to play will be at 110 (just like WOD), unless of course that korean ARPG whose name escapes me comes out next year!
There were "talk" of Blizzard building in anti-RNG so the longer you went without a legendary the better chance you have of getting one, but I dont know if that ever went live.
Also are the legendaries always for your loot preference? Hope so... although I guess the iLvl will still be at max... and supposedly they will stay at max throughout the expansion |

OK wowhead says that legendaries are to your loot specification so that's good.
Adalicia, not sure which part of D3 you are specifically referring to, but yeah they borrowed a lot from D3 for this expansion, I assume to add life span to the expansion by introducing more RNG. In D3 though you can target slots with blood shards and it's much easier to grind out legendaries, but I'm fine with what they have here. I'm glad the emissary satchels has a chance, because I won't be running much dungeons or raids. |

There is a system in Diablo III that they have touched on before (though I'd have to go do some digging to find it) that basically makes it so the longer you go without getting a Legendary drop the more likely you are to see one drop. So basically what you mentioned, I just misquoted your post. Was supposed to be the said by puppy:There were "talk" of Blizzard building in anti-RNG so the longer you went without a legendary the better chance you have of getting one, but I dont know if that ever went live. part but apparently I goofed. |

Not to get too off topic but something similar happened to me.
I'm a tank... I started a heroic and noticed the other 4 were from the same guild. I make the first pull and notice a warlock start pulling everything in sight. I pick them up the best I can, pop all my CD's and quickly die. At this point I notice everyone else running out of instance.
As soon as I release I type "Dude, why are you pulling everything?". Each other member of the group begins laughing at me several times and then I get kicked. I looked back at the combat log and see that I received 0 heals.
So here I am with a 30 min debuff, growling and spewing hateful comments, looking for puppies to kick. Was not fun. |

yup, as much as I like WoW, I tend to hate everyone that plays it
in general, I've always taken extended breaks because of the playerbase |

I don't understand why people do this. Does it really appeal to their ego they can do this to someone else?
I often have to remind myself that 100 IQ is just the median, which means a ton of people are below that. Yes I know this behavior is not related to intelligence, but I guess same applies to emotional maturity... |

Yes, harder content has a higher % to drop. Better shot in heroic than in normal, etc. |

Wowhead has legendary info as well as listing them by class: » www.wowhead.com/guide=41 ··· s-shamanFor shammy the lava burst stacking a dot one sounds good, but 18% spellpower? That sounds so pathetic... |

They found and hotfix a bug where you were more likely to another a second legendary if you had already gotten one: » us.battle.net/forums/en/ ··· #post-73Well at least this is proof that there is some sort of system changing the odds of a legendary dropping. ------------------------- Posted by Ornyx We've identified and hotfixed an issue that could cause Legion legendary items to drop more frequently than intended, if a player had already received their first legendary. Thanks to everyone who reported this - the ability to look at specific cases where this was and wasn't happening was invaluable for isolating what exactly was causing this bug to occur. |
