Gerk posted : No, no standard bonding or other MLPPP type solution is what I'm looking for. I really want/need a single pipe with more bandwidth. Bonding, while sounding good in theory, never really works out the way you expect it will. I specifically need to be able to do a single stream of (up to) 20Mbit. Bonding and/or other teaming type solutions will not achieve this.

Davesnothere posted :
OK, here's a thought.

Never mind doing MLPPP, but have you considered getting TWO cable feeds at, say 30/10 for $50 each from START, plus two modem rentals if you do not own two already, and get a router with dual WAN inputs to blend them at YOUR end ?

Or, for a bonus of redundancy, one feed and modem could be VDSL at 25/10, if you can get that in your 'hood.

Of course, if you needed unlimited usage, it would be a bit more, but would the idea in general satisfy your needs ?

Gerk posted : I'm sorry, I've done some reading on here but haven't found an explicit answer to this question ... I've been a start customer for several years now and very happy with the service, but ... I really really need faster upload speeds in a bad way. I do get my full 10Mbps but it's not enough for my current needs.

Is there anything in the works for this or are we still stuck in the regulatory loop. Sad to say if we're still stuck in a loop I may have to bail and go with the big C (my area's provider), at least until things are sorted out. That 20Mbps upload speed is really calling my name ...
