Re: Apple has it Right

said by Transmaster:

At the recent Apple event Tim Cook said that the future of TV is App's and I think he is right. I dumped Dish Network several years ago and I don't miss it at all. I realized that I who only watching a small number of channel and paying through the nose for stuff I had no interest in. More and more people are leaving cable media and getting an Apple TV, Roku, or Amazon Fire TV. where you can pick and chose what you want to watch.

add up all those $8, $10, $15 apps. Heck CBS is $6 a month. Ok now say you want all 4 major networks that's $24. You think if any of these cable channels when the app route they be charging less than $6? Nope.

HBO is ok at $15 now I can see a local at RSN At $3-$5 with a group of other channels and up to $10-$15 on it's own with no need to buy 50+ other channels.

Maybe $5 for a premium scifi channel but up to $2 for the ad loaded one now.
