elca_bond posted : When it started it had terrible stability buto now Sling has been pretty good, it still has some issues but not as often as before. I highly doubt they have crappy servers, if they did it would be crashing all the time since I'm pretty sure they have more than a million subscribers.

ISurfTooMuch posted : I doubt your connection is helping, since their streams shouldn't use nearly that much bandwidth. If it just so happens that you've got an unusually short/good connection back to their servers, that might help, but my guess is that, aside from people with crappy connections, the majority of problems are caused by Sling's servers or bandwidth being maxed out. As I'm sure you know, Charlie Ergen has a reputation for being...um...frugal. Given that Sling was first to market, and Dish probably wasn't sure how it'd be received, they may have skimped on infrastructure. If that's true, they'd sure as hell had better stop skimping and scale up to meet demand.

We're about to drop cable TV when we move to our new house, and, at that point, we're going to give Sling and PS Vue test runs. Interestingly, I haven't heard the number of complaints about Vue's streams cutting out as I've heard about Sling. We shall see.

Biggest complaints??

slcpd6469 posted : How about streams that don't work. The only reason I have Sling is for Fox Sports Midwest. I cant get through a hockey game without the stream downgrading quality, pixelating, or the app on both roku and Win10 just crashing. Last week the FSM stream was completely down. I reported the issue within a few minutes of puck drop, I received a troubleshooting email 3 days later. I'll stick with illegal streams or just the radio?
