As a followup regarding the install of AT&T fiber at my house, there was about a 5 week lag between the hanging of the fiber lines on the main trunk utility poles in my neighborhood and when AT&T fiber could be ordered in my neighborhood in Bloomington.
I've attached a couple of pictures of how they handled the install. On the outside of my house, they installed a new box to protect the junction between the fiber line from the poles to the fiber line that goes inside my house. Inside, they mounted a box (ONT?) where the fiber line terminates.
