SB8200 32x8 DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem - Feedback and Results threadI thought I'd create a new thread for those who end up getting the SB8200 so they can post screenshots (not copy/pasting) and experiences and signal stuff. |

Re: SB8200 32x8 3.1 cable modem - Feedback and Results threadAnd .... for anyone who has one of these up and running, if you happen to have pingplotter, can you run a 24 ping test to the CMTS and post the results as was done here for a CM1000: » Re: SB6190 Puma6 TCP/UDP Network Latency Issue DiscussionYou don't have to run 0.3 sec intervals as xymoz1 will do, 1 sec, or 0.5 sec if you prefer is fine. Running a ping test via the ping command or other would also work if you time stamp it and plot the results with something like MS Excel. The issue of latency thru the modem is going to become rather interesting as plots for the SB8200, CM1000, 6190 with trial firmware and Puma 7 modems such as the Hitron CODA-4582 are posted. |

Excellent on creating the thread.. The person who told me he would give me a 8200 back in December has backed away from this. So I dont get one early. I was disappointed. Im sure there was good reason, but, he did not explain. He did say he would get me one free tho the moment he sees they are shipping. I will preorder just in case. My 6190 is online now and awaiting the new firmware. I intend to immd A/B/C with full plots for a 8200/6190/6183. I really need a Puma 7 based modem I can buy online supported by Cox as well. |

Awesome. Hope it's better out of the box. Still not listed on there web site yet: » surfboard.com/I noticed this as well from two years ago: » ir.arris.com/phoenix.zht ··· =2096087I see that two WAN ports are on the unit. Not 10Gb though from what I can tell. Not sure how ISPs will gain anything over 1Gb on the WAN side if the ports are only 1Gb ports. |

Looks like no one has ran their new 8200 through the Puma 6 ping test and the other tests to see how it stands out of the box. Would like to see the results if anyone can test. |

Well at least judging from other threads the number of people here with 8200s at present numbers precisely… one. |

Hehe, I know but was hoping our excitement for his/her new toy would equate for him to do some testing to see how much better it is than our dog 6190's. |

Given we still don't know what effect, if any, the new firmware has on 6190s don't be too hasty on that point. |

Don't see an option to change servers in that test. I tried a direct connection between the modem and my computer. Same result. |

You might want to also try this as well with the new modem: » Re: SB6190 Puma6 TCP/UDP Network Latency Issue Discussionsaid by Evo01:This doesn't look good. |

I have a 6190 now. I'm going to run a ton of PUMA 6 tests on it, this week.
I'll have my SB8200 this Friday, and will run the same tests on it, and see what I get. I'll record my results each time. |

Getting my 8200 tomorrow. Will post test results. FYI tried some with my current modem (sb6183) to get a baseline result and kept getting a bunch of red no matter the server (was using firefox) finally tried IE and got 100% green (little yellow but no red). |

DslReports also mentioned that FF browser is having issues with some speed test sites. I recommend using IE11 or try Opera as a back up or 2ndary test browser for speed tests. Until FF gets there act together. Hope the 8200 does well. said by Needleinthha:Getting my 8200 tomorrow. Will post test results. Heck, even Edge works. |

Edge browser saw issues with many device web pages and rendering of the page. May not be related to the 6190. Others saw issues with using it in general. I still haven't used it. Wonder if that's been the problem all along with Edge? Lol. |

I have one. I'm on Suddenlink though. They don't support it yet. It's just sitting in the box. |

Havent used ipv6 much so not positve this is what it means but yep, looks like it. Went into my router where it says "LAN IPv6 Address:" and it has an address listed after that, so guessing that means yes... I'm on Cox, BTW. |

Cox started supporting IPv6 I think sometime in the past 24 months. |
