In Canada, it's a grey area; if streaming is illegal or not.
Media rights holders claim it is; that downloading is downloading, regardless of if you keep a copy of the content you download; streaming providers (grey/black market ones, not paid services) claim it's not illegal under Canadian law - and I've not seen a definitive ruling clearing it up... but, since I don't do it, I freely admit I'm not following it closely.
To receive the benefit of someone else's efforts (the film makers, the TV production company, etc) - without them being properly remunerated or rewarded, is wrong to me...
It's taking money out of their pockets. That "they" are large, nameless, faceless corporate entities doesn't change my moral position.
But that's just me...
