Typically, tiling, audio loss, and signal loss are weak signal. Is this intermittent or all the time? On all channels or just some? What about internet performance? |

Thanks for your response Internet speeds mostly stable, at times there is some latency that can be annoying. Example sometimes will transmit connection to a specific website there is zero response time, system just freezes for several seconds.
This is the information from a tech professional, what specific testing should be done real time inside and outside the home to check for a weak signal. What is the name of the test equipment that should be used and what are the exact tests that should be run and what should these tests reveal with regard to signal strength tests. What are the exact testing points like at the pedestal, at the block where the fiber optic fiber is split and separated to each individual residential FTTH. Usual in home tech testing currently is not giving me what I need to know if the root cause is a "weak signal." |

Forgot to confirm the pixelation and other issues are intermittent and cannot confirm, if it occurs on all channels because we do not view all the channels SL offers regularly enough to know this. But it most definitely does occur on the channels we do watch regularly. |

My earlier post was intended as general information.
You will spend a large sum of money buying equipment to diagnose Suddenlink's problem with no guarantee of changing anything.....just getting arguing fodder. You can hire a networking company with experience and equipment much cheaper than buying your own and diagnosing the issues yourself ....however, this still gets you arguing fodder with no guarantee of resolution.
You might try personal visits and talk with supervisors. Dawn can be very helpful in getting you in touch with the correct people. |

Update 4-21-2017 Working directly w/SL Supv. & w/SL Tech personal visits to our home, going step by step to find a solution, excellent cooperation from SL. Signal strength out put from SL Plant rated 37, our home is showing 35-36 SL Supv. states this is a great signal strength rating.
Step 1. SL Tech made on-site new RG 6 coax cables w/SL highest grade Klein connectors for all the TV's, the Tivo HDVR and the (2) Tivo Mini's. Tech installed all new Klein connectors on wall jacks (pixelation still persisted).
Step 2. Tech installed new Tivo HDVR (pixelation still persisted).
Step 3. New home pre-wired with whole home Cat 6 ethernet cables, SL installed all new ethernet cables to the Tivo HDVR and the (2) Tivo Mini's today (checking for pixelation).
Step 4. SL Tech installed new Mini-Node on the outside wall today (checking for pixelation).
SL Tech states next step will be to switch over from the Blue Fiber Optic strand to the back up Orange Fiber strand located in the new Mini-Node he installed today, if pixelation continues. SL Tech and Supv. stated our home is the only one experiencing this problem in our subdivision and they are determined to fix it. So far, very pleased w/SL's customer service commitment and follow up. |

They actually do, but I have never seen a cable operator use them. Lots of Klein tools though. |

Two SL Techs installed a new FTTH today! Yea! Techs pulled out all the old fiber cable and pulled through a new fiber cable, the run was 400+ ft. Thought all along that the original install was on a hot summer day in Texas and the Tech's possibly weren't as careful pulling the fiber cable through due to the hot weather conditions. So far, after 6 hours no pixelation, halting or audio drops. Gonna wait for 3-4 days to see if strong signal is genuinely present in this fiber cable. Will post status later in the week. |
