It's the same story here. They use social wedge issues and fear of black/brown people to keep poor whites voting for them, even as they enact policies that screw those same people over.

Trump is repeating the same play on the national stage; he ran as a populist and is busy working to pass a massive tax cut for the rich masquerading as a health care bill, a bill that if enacted in its present form will throw his base under the bus. And most of them will still vote for him in 2020, because hey, at least he's keeping the brown and black people in their place....

LOL, the supreme court controls the 2nd amendment interpretation and it will always change over time because the 2nd amendment does not say what you think it says.
