Networking → [Windows] DeltaCopy email notifications

Been using deltacopy for 10+ years to backup production servers to backup servers to NAS servers. the short comings is my free email provider now requires tls encryption on email notifications. So i do not get emails on good and bad backups.

My options are, find a new windows rsync gui with email(tls) notification, use a email proxy(stunnel), or find a new free email provider that does not require tls.

anyone have any ideas?

I assume the problem is the mail notification built into Deltacopy does not do SSL.

Have you asked them if they plan to support SSL email in a new release?

I have a similar problem with our home automation gear, it does not do SSL so I set it up to use my ISP email account to send mail (which does not require SSL if on network). So far so good. As a bonus it is a good test of email from my ISP account to my registered domain.

Tom, don't think they are maintaining it. Using the customers ISP(no tls) might be the ticket...will chekc and report back!

works for all my clients except 1 - damn... clients ISP does not give email account. any other rsync windows gui client that people use?
