I cant seem to steam SlingTV very well tonight. Is this the reason? Paying for 150/10
Something seriously wrong because online games now ping 100+ for me and when I do tracerts they all seem to go through level3 like above which is where the latency starts.

Worst results ever tonight: » www.internethealthtest.o ··· MjcxfV19Tech came out and changed out the line and put in a Cox 8x4 modem to see if that would help. Neither did. He's sending out a supervisor tomorrow, but thinks there could be something wrong with the node. However, most of the time here we disagreed about the speed test methodology and went through the usual "it's your computer/phone/router/etc." spiel. He says the only thing they can go on is Cox's own test, which often showed 60 Mbps. However, the gauge is all over the place. It's not a consistent 60, it spends a considerable amount of time at 1-5 Mbps. Finally it got stuck in the 17-30 final range, so he's calling in the supervisor. |

Cox's test won't reveal peering issues. It is useful for tracking down node issues, which other speedtests (DSL-R) will often mask, because they'll just keep firing up additional streams to max out your connection, masking the affects of packet loss.
Cox techs can also see your test history with their own tool -- though whether or not they know how to access it is another matter; the good ones do -- so that can be a useful way of shutting them up when they start on the "It's your computer/phone/router/cat/dog" nonsense. |

I don't know what's going on here in Las Vegas this morning. But, here's what I'm getting on my 50/5 plan this morning. EDIT: I must have caught it with its pantaloons temporarily about its ankles. A few minutes later and everything was back to reasonable levels. |

Or there was a burst of noise on their plant, from some faulty device, which will randomly occur again and again until said device is fixed or removed from the network. |

Here are some New Orleans results: » www.internethealthtest.o ··· MDJ9XX0=» fast.com/en/share/140Mbps.htmlThat's actually unusually good. I'm socked from time to time with latency issues that really make telecommuting fun. I find the best connection to my employer goes through Dallas and not Atlanta (or Alpharetta, more precisely). |

Looks fine here in Northern VA.. must be a regional issue? On the 150Mbps package here.. only XO showed below 100Mbps for me.

[att=1] Interesting find. This is what I get here with 50/5... for $84/month. Having used to live where there was FiOS and having synchronous 75mbps service to this, for more money, blows. Especially when I am repeatedly told I can't get a package with better upload, at any price. Okay, what the hell? why is it not letting me send an attachment? |

It seems L3 is the worst for me (BTR, LA) - Ultimate Tier 300/30
I fear Docsis3.1 being rolled out before the infrastructure can handle it. |

Since aug.. problem has been corrected. Sadly it's an over crowded node. I have to jump up and down cox's ass to get an engineer to review. |
