Re: How can this be done? It's likely not a technical reason why the OP needs to be in a particular state. It's a labor legality reasons. I worked for a company from home that basically had the same requirements. I could only work from states that were approved. And depending on exactly which position in the company I had at the time those States actually varied. |

" It's a labor legality reasons."
I get that, but I am looking for the OP to admit that because then the question is no longer a technical one, but a legal one. However, I doubt we'll ever hear from the OP again. My guess is Seagate BTW. |

Come work in my state and you can bet we want you to file here. And then there is the issue of licensing. I have a family member that does medical insurance work remotely. Her position requires her to be an RN. RN licenses are from the state. Also she is only allowed to work on the company provided laptop thats connected to the company provided cable modem and router. They understandably don't want peoples medical records flowing through some coffee shop wifi. I would guess any other company thats dealing with medical, financial, or any sort of customer data has those types of requirements in this day and age. |

Company provided cable modem and laptop or not, it should still be on a VPN... VPN needs to be a requirement for all of those industries... Employees having the ability to copy the entire customer database to a standard flash drive, would go a lot further.. Asking companies to save each password with a unique salt seems to be stretch |

VPN needs to be a requirement for all of those industries... For companies going that far, a VPN is also standard on top of the above. |

No. Me thinks it was a bot/spam to waste people's time. |
