This is a beautiful spot. I hope you had it to yourself for a while. I couldn't get an accurate translation for Sgwd Yr Eira though, so I'll go with your take.

The sandstone layers must mean this the bottom of a sea at one time, or a beach. So as the world moves on, we only experience a moment of it, but the beauty of it's ancient existence surrounds us.
