Mediacom → [IA] Best Wifi Router for 1Gig

Im just wondering what people are useing for Wifi Routers with the 1Gig service.Im currently useing a Ubiquiti AmpliFi HD Home Wi-Fi Router its the Mesh System..I love the router its small does everything i need it to do..I also have a Asus RT-AC88U thats currectly not being used..Thinking about hooking up Asus an seeing if there is any speed difference wired an wireless just for the heck of it..

I currently use a Nighthawk R8000 in the main house and feed a Netgear R6400 in the guest house via MoCA 2.0 (2x Actiontek ECB6200). It does pretty well with wireless, and has no trouble handling gigabit (when Mediacom works).

I've wanted to switch to a mesh setup for a while now, especially to not have several separate wifi networks. I've been checking out the Netgear Orbi, particularly because of its dedicated wireless channel for the backhaul. It would be nice to improve the coverage outside between the houses.

Ya I love my Ubiquiti AmpliFi HD Mesh system I can walk down the street an still connect to my Wifi lol..I was just seeing what people were useing.Plus I might try an hook up the ASUS RT-AC88U an see what speeds I get on Wifi..I did alot of Research before I got my Ubiquiti AmpliFi HD Mesh system an it seemed to be about the best for me.There Customer service is Top notch..Not a big fan of Netgear they dont like to update there Firmwares in a timely manner..

I have the netgear orbi system and its been the best system I have had so far... Firmware updates have been on par with other router companies since its a mesh system...
