Miss TWC yet?

While folks were up in arms against Comcast buying TWC, much less opposition surfaced with Charter's bid. How do you think TWC markets would have ended up under Comcast or even if they stayed as TWC?

Not at all. I love my 100megs base package at home. TWC always had a reason on why they couldn't. Screw TWC. Glad they went away. CHTR is on the right path and knows what they're doing.

The problem w/ LBO is that the customers typically suffer regardless and the bankers and exec get rich.

The airlines and telco/cable co are perfect examples. And as they become more monopolistic, we are back to Ma Bell treatment.

Charter vastly overpaid for TWC, so now everyone's bills go up to pay for that folly. For areas where there is competition, so be it, but for those without look for ever-raising rates and unhappiness in lack of flexibility.

After looking at Comcast's rate cards and things like their 'unlimited bandwidth fee', I'm glad I don't live in a Comcast market.
