Re: Gas BBQ grill purchaseI got super lucky - $90 tax refunded by Lowe’s this weekend. Then they delayed my installation and pickup by two hours so 10%, another $60 off. The $50 gift cards paid for some of the accessories and put to good use today! |

I haven't owned one personally, but do know a few people that bought them. If you mow your lawn a lot the batteries only last a couple of years. They also mentioned wet grass is a no-no. My lawn isn't really huge, and I probably only spend like $5 in gas per season to mow it, so I'll keep my circa-1998 lawnmower. |

I bought a 21” Greenworks 80V mower from Crappy Tire a couple of weeks ago and so far I’ve been impressed. It mulches, has a side discharge and a rear discharge with bag. It came with two batteries and a rapid charger, and I can get almost two cuts on a single charge (my lawn isn’t that big). It’s a lot quieter than the gas mower it replaced. If you’ve got a lot of grass to cut I’m not sure a battery-powered mower makes sense. As battery technology improves it will but not right now. |

Why even go to crappy tire ? Lowe’s customer service speaks for itself - they moved up the assembly date on my grill and when it didn’t go right, gave me 10% off without asking. |

here's the Greenworks branded unit from CT: » www.canadiantire.ca/en/p ··· html#srpregularly $699 on for $649 plus tax. and the Kobalt version (which is made by Greenworks): » www.lowes.ca/lawn-mowers ··· 902.htmlregularly $699 on for $549 and no tax this weekend. just in case anyone else is in the market...it's a pretty good deal. |

I got mine for the $649 price. I was in a bind because my existing 17 year-old gas mower just refused to start (been nursing it the past couple of summers hoping to get another season...) and the grass was good and thick.
The Greenworks mower had no trouble chewing through it. It also has a feature of automatically ramping up the rpm’s if it encounters thicker grass. Otherwise it spins at a slower speed for regular grass. |

Umm... They have an entire Kobalt 40v lawn care set, including the mower, for $399. » www.lowes.ca/leaf-blower ··· nkloc=hp |

yea, some good deals in there...i already have a trimmer though (albeit, basic single string 20v model), but it works good enough for my needs...i'd rather have the 80v for the mower as more power for the long grass is good to have...my lawn isn't big, so likely not a huge deal, but sometimes it gets a bit long/thick (that's what she said). |

Research I did said 40V is borderline adequate for a lawn mower. And for guys like me who sometimes “forget” to cut the grass regularly, I wanted something with a little more oomph. |

That one looks almost exactly like mine, 4yrs old and still looks like the day I put it together. |

Do you see any rust on the cooking grills? If not - any specific proactive maintenance? |

Nothing so far. I clean it in the spring and fall pretty thoroughly and have a good cover for it. In the 4yrs I've had it it literally looks the same as the day I bought it minus normal coloring you would expect to see on the burners, but no rust holes or anything. |
