Man if you think that's old... Some of the COs I used to do planning for at Verizon had cables going back to the 20s and 30s. It was in the underground and was still working fine. As long as it stayed dry and you didn't expect splicers to make rearrangements on it it's probably still working fine.

That does not surprise me. I am sure in Cincinnati Ohio the hard-line is around the same age if not older where I live at as well. Spectrum patched multiple places in the hard-line where their was signal leakage and visible damage.

I have 3 wired providers now, At&t at 1.5mbps DSL, Coax: Spectrum up to 940/35(currently have 400/20 for $60 for 36 months) and Grande up to 1000/50 for $70 a month.
