If anyone has a problem with Charter Pipeline please call your local office to resolve it. Each area is different and does not represent all the other areas that Charter has.
I just do not think it is fair to the other systems at all! |

The petition has been around for quite some time, so I guess the expectation at this point would be exactly what Charter has provided to the people that signed the thing...absolutely nothing. |

As long as Charter can avoid investing in network and give profit reports like the one above Charter will continue to be crap. |

I am the 150th person to sign.:)
I also do have a list of over 500 supports that I received in a short period of time. I had forgot that the link for "supporters" had been removed. Maybe I will put a link to a better written petition of my own in the near future, but I might wait until after my trials. Thanks for the suggestion.:) |

This is kind of funny. I did a search for Charter on Petition Online. Following is all of the results that I found... » www.petitiononline.com/2 ··· ion.html» www.petitiononline.com/I ··· ion.htmland of course, the now famous » www.petitiononline.com/c ··· ion.htmlAt the risk of falling off topic, I briefly viewed the topics of some of these petitions. Most of these people have no lives!!!!! Do they really think corporate America is going to take any of this seriously? But seriously, instead of filing some lame a** internet petition that will likely get laughed at, try writing a professionally written letter to the corporate levels of Charter. Even address it to the CEO. Try to calmly and maturely explaining your issues with the service. Be reasonable and not hostile. You may get a 'canned' response, but imagine the response to a letter like this: Dear Mr. CEO of Charter: Your company sucks, your service sucks and you suck. Fix the problem. John Q. Pipeline-user |

Actually this had an influence rather recently. When Fox bought the remaining share of Speedvision they were really looking into making it 100% Nascrap right off the bat. Through various online petitions, complaints, etc they balanced what the road racing enthuisist wanted and what Nascrap they thought they could see. Online petitions can work, just takes some common sense and enough people. |

However, I will design a similar "Online Petition" format & write a more detailed petition. Then, I will post this "Online Petition" only at my website & probably at this link at » www.WorldWarChess.com/Ch ··· Petition. Anyone who would like to contribute any suggestions as to what all I should include in an Online Petition can do so by sending any suggestions and comments to me at » www.worldwarchess.com/co ··· t-us.htmSome topics that will included in my "Online Petition" will be Charters' website AUP and/or "Terms & Conditions", upload/download bandwidth guarantees and/or caps, monitoring of network services, grandfathering of "Terms & Conditions", definitions of "Servers", the filing of lawsuits against customers, the filing of lawsuits against Charter by customers, customers' rights, the right to broadband services, requiring written notification and reasons for any terminations of subscribed services from Charter and so on. BTW: Said by CTt3cH aka AoD LiQuiD: "lol yeah did you see who was #1 though...?" *************************************************** If you would have read the above and/or viewed carefully, you should have noticed that I was the 150th to sign that petition & not the first and/or #1.:) |

I know I shouldn't do this, but.... The Charter AUP seems pretty clear to me. I have some college education, but I didn't take law classes. Yet, the AUP seems easy to read and easy to understand. The only part I disagree with is [11. NO EXCESSIVE USE OF BANDWIDTH] which they determine on a case-by-case basis at their discretion. As for network monitoring, that is also (in my opinion) clearly stated when monitoring may occur and the only reasons in which it would occur. As for the "Right to Broadband Services", I must have missed that in the US Constitution. Seriously though, do you have a 'right' to telephone services. It's like a driver's license, it's called a privilege. Also, if a company feels it has suffered a damage of some sort, it has the right to sue you to be compensated for that damage. It doesn't have to be a criminal damage, but even a civil damage (like slander or breach of contract for example) is a reason for litigation. On the other hand, you have the exact same rights as a person to sue a company for the same reasons. That is the way it works in the US legal system. I dont understand what you hope to accomplish by addressing this issue in your petition. Now I know I have participated in and helped fuel this flame war, but since I have participated on this website, the issues are still the same. We know what your problem is. I have visited your anti-Charter website once to see what your deal is. You keep coming back and raging your cause against Charter. Frankly, I dont care if you do or dont. I am sick of seeing it pop up every so often. I am sure you have your supporters and detractors (sp?) here and that wont change much no matter how much you keep shoving the issue in everyone's face. It's time to let go and positively add to this forum or find another forum to disturb. Thank you and good luck in your travels. |

Considering he HASN'T got a clue! I am forced to agree. In all realness. Grow up a bit and either switch providers or write a properly addressed and formal letter to Charter about the problems you are experiancing with the privlidge (sp?) they have given you to use their system that works wonderfully well for most everyone else. Actually, it's Mike King. Mike Hunt is funnier, but this is a family forum after all. We don't need to go blue to quietly jab the village idiot. I think the funniest thing about his accounts, site and all posts that he gets involved with is that sooner or later they all get shut off, disconnected, or locked. More advanced life forms (chimpanzees, NRA members, prawns) would have moved on from trying to fight the *Dopey voice* "Big bad Charter man" and hosted their game elsewhere. Guess we gotta know who we're dealing with here. |

Looks like he is back to once again take another jab, make false statements & slander me yet again in public. And he calls me the village idiot.:) I told my attorney that I would ease off making public comments here until after my trial. But, I just couldnt resist setting the record straight and/or foiling another one of Hundleys traps and/or continuing attempts to try & piss me off time after time. However dont worry, I will return & speak my mind once again after my trials that are only months away now. Hopefully, John Hundleys pawn, which is also suing me in one of those lawsuits, will be smart enough to contact my attorney. Then I wont have to counter-sue her for being naïve enough and/or listening to John Hundley and/or being apart of his conspiracy. Otherwise, she might also go down with the HSA Corp. that will eventually abandon her after the trials and/or monetary judgements on my behalf? Just click on & look at the MacBagwan profile. It should be obvious that Hundley is personally obsessed with & has been out to get me mainly because I have demanded that he and others at Charter Pipeline put their verbal commitments/lies in writing. It also looks like John Hundley would be more concerned about the termination of two of the company's senior executive officers, Daniel J. O'Brien, President and CEO, and Gregory G. Hodges, COO, effective April 30, 2002 and/or this article dated 5-15-2002 at this link » quote.bloomberg.com/fgcg ··· SGlnaCBT******************************* Specifically, Nasdaq notes that the Company has not owned or managed any revenue-generating businesses since February 28, 2002, and to date continues to lack tangible business operations. Accordingly, Nasdaq believes the Company is a "public shell," which may be subject to market abuses or other violative conduct detrimental to the interests of the investing public. |

And again, you didn't stop making comments. As they say, anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You've just engaged in exactly the behavior you're complaining about, which at the very least makes your complaint moot. said by A Patriot: my attorney. 1. Though lawyers probably like it, I don't think that judges will appreciate the way you seem to think you can sue someone for being naieve. Frivolous lawsuits only make your case even weaker than it already is. 2. Likewise for the term "conspiracy." Especially in these times when _real_ conspiracies are a _real_ threat to us in the US. You throw around the term "conspiracy" with respect to someone taking away your residential internet access and they're going to dismiss you summarily as well as think you're nuts. Especially since you're the one who's been taping people on the phone without their consent or knowledge. 3. You aren't going to win this suit. Everything else aside, it will boil down to the fact that Charter was acting within the bounds of their AUP, and you were running a prohibited game server with your account. |

Seems like an open & shut case..
Judge: "Mr. Charter, does your AUP say game servers are prohibited?"
Mr Charter: "Yes your Honor."
Judge: "Mr. A.Patriot, were you paying for Charter Service, thereby binding you to the Charter AUP?"
A Patriot: (after 10 minutes of rambling on about who shot JFK, and black-helicoptors) "Yes, your Honor"
Judge: "Mr. Apatriot, were you running a game server on Charter's network?"
A.Patriot: (more rambling, only this time, replacing who shot JFK with who shot J.R.) "Yes your honor, but MY gameserver is different, because i wrote it myself and Charter wanted to STEAL it from me..."
Judge: "Case closed.. A.Patriot, please write a check for $1,000,000 - and you are hearby banned from the Internet forever" ..
(i can hardly wait!! I wonder if it will be shown on the CourtTV channel!?) |
