[FIOS] Connection issues and WAN lease time only 30 minutes?Hello Everyone,
For the last week or so I have noticed a delay when attempting to reach sites for all devices on my network. It seems to intermittently hang when requesting the page or attempting to reach the service. There's no packet loss or latency from what I can see and I have changed public DNS servers to CloudFlare and Google but the problem persists. While reviewing my configuration I also noticed that my WAN IP lease time is only 30 minutes and therefore at the 15 minute mark a new IP address is being negotiated, I believe this is set at the ISP level. Does anyone else that that problem? I am using a Netgear Orbi connected via ethernet to the ONT. I'm not sure if the WAN IP lease time is related to my problem as the connection issues do not seem to coincide with the IP address lease being acquired again.
I am in Southern California (Riverside County) about 20 miles north of Temecula.
Thanks! |

It's occurring to all my devices wired and wireless. No impact changing web browsers. |

I do see some packet loss with pathping. |

Changed locally on one device and flushed cache. CloudFlare and Google's DNS server. Same result. |

Pings isn't a tools to track delays in DNS lookup's. If your noticing delays, that would be measured in seconds. Give this a try and see what is showes » www.ultratools.com/tools ··· edResult |

The delay may be on the public WAN server.
Turn the router off for about 10 minutes and then turn it back on.
You should get a new WAN IP. |

192.168.0.107 is the IP address of the PC I ran pathping on. Pretty sure that's normal for pathping you may be thinking of tracert's output? Here is both side by side. Setup is ONT ETHERNET -> WAN ROUTER -> DEVICES |
