<description><![CDATA[Prod1702 posted : Hey Chad, So the tech that was at my house last night was very helpful and great to work with. He replaced something in the box outside my house. I do not remember what the name of it was, but this helped my upstream stabilize. it was jumping from 45mbps to 60 mbps to now always 60 mbps+. He did show me the tool that he had that showed that something was corrected on the back end around the 14th which corrected my downstream issues. He refereed to this as overdrive like what was talked about before. I did refer to this website and he knew of it and who I was talking about when I said your name Chad. <description><![CDATA[Prod1702 posted : Hey Chad, I rebooted my modem when I got home and it is worst then it was yesterday. I am not even able to load any websites or even run a speed test for you. I have attached a new picture of my Modem Status page. My downstream SNR levels are getting worst. I know that 33dB SNR is about as low as you want and I am below that on all channels. <description><![CDATA[Prod1702 posted : Hello, I was hoping to work here since mediacom no longer has a good forum setup to ask for help. Maybe I can get MediacomChad to help me out. I have the 1g service with mediacom and am having very poor download speeds. Not able to get more then 50 mbps down but am getting 70 mbps up. I have a Arris SB8200 which is not showing that it has any DOCSIS 3.1 currently. I can tell this because the downstream light will change from green to blue on the front of the modem. I have had this service for more then a year and always had good speeds very close to 1g. I do not have any splutters on the line since I only have internet. I do have a attenuator -9 on the line or the downstream power level hits 15db no problems. I talked to phone support who was no help at all. they made an appointment which is more then a week out. I am hopping this is a issue that is not on my end and can be fixed somewhere else. I have attached a picture of my modem's status page to show what my modem is telling me I have currently.
