Re: [FL] Trying to get an updateWhy wouldn't Mediacom do as most power/phone companies do and pull in crews from other city/states to get things back in order sooner? That must not be the case or you would be seeing trucks all over. |

The power company had trucks staged in the area days before the storm struck from almost any state you could name. I've NEVER seen such a coordinated effort to restore power as was done with Mexico Beach. Every single pole and wire within 30 miles was gone and they came in a rebuilt the entire grid in 10 days. In my case 6 days. Mediacom has been AWOL from day-one and no one is talking as we see here with their lame attempts to answer simple questions. I am more and more suspecting they are about to abandon the area entirely and leave us high and dry. NO CREWS are anywhere that anyone has seen since the storm on Oct 10th. |

I’m sure you are aware but electricity and cable are not treated the same in regards to restoration. I can tell you when I worked for Comcast and Texas/Galveston area got wiped out by hurricane, it took a while to get back up in running. Communication was also lacking but cable company didn’t jump ship. You best bet is to get barking at whoever is cable liaison at city hall for MexicoBeach area. I can tell you by reading how hard that area got hit I would think that area won’t have service until after new year. |

Hello MexicoBeach! We have crews working nonstop in all these areas working to replace damaged drops and rehang lines. We will continue this work until all customers are restored. At this time, we do not have a set timeline of when all this work will be completed but we will continue to work diligently to restore service to these impacted areas. If you would like me to reach out to your local management team and request an update, feel free to send a DM to me with your account number, or the telephone number associated with your account. |

Hello MexicoBeach, we continue in our restoration efforts and have restored services to 93% of our customers impacted by this devastating storm in FL and GA. We continue to work in the most devastated areas and have service restored to our main distribution center in Mexico Beach as well as surrounding areas to the East. Our engineering and technical operations teams are reviewing and developing our construction plans on a daily basis as we work to bring more areas back online. I appreciate your inquiry and will communicate further details as information becomes available. |

Interesting that Consolidated has their customers up here in Mexico Beach, yet I still have not seen a single Mediacom crew working here. And, as everyone sees, Mediacom only replies with their canned replies and that's because they know nothing is being done. |

I am very sorry for the frustration this has caused, MexicoBeach. We are working to get services restored as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, I am not able to provide an ETR at this time. Once I get an ETR, I will certainly let you know. |

Canned reply #7...right? Consolidated has been up and running since Nov. 20th. I just came in from a two hour drive around the area looking for any Mediacom crew and as in the past did not see a single Mediacom crew. |
