[HSI] 400 Ultra for 200 priceJust checked on new service pricing for my address. Can select 200, 400, or gig. System defaults to 400 and shows an additional $0 upcharge. So it appears new subscribers can get Ultra 400 for entry level price ($44.99/24 months at my house).
Is this available to existing subscribers? I am paying a $25/month uncharge for 400 Ultra.
Also is there any way to get the new subscriber pricing?
thanks! |

Yes there is a way to get new subscriber pricing. Cancel and have another household member sign up in their name. If you live alone then cancel and sign up again 30 days after you cancelled. |

Nice, Spectrum usually does this when there's fiber competition. Is there a ftth provider in your area? |

Cancel, then sign up for new service online before they cut your service. |

Interesting, is there any ATT fiber around your area at all? |

Yes. ATT Fiber is in the area. Not in my neighborhood but just down the road. |

Is this reliable? My wife can sign up under her name/email. My concern is continuity of service. Imagine when I cancel they will want me to turn in cable modem? Can I really pull this off while maintaining service? |

There is an office close by. Wonder if my wife and I can go in, say we are getting divorced, and process the cancel/sign up at one time... |

As with any company, YMMV, but I was offered this when speaking with the retention group.
However it is 400 at the current 200 rate, not the “200 discounted rate”. |

Went to the office with my equipment and wife - closed the old account, my wife opened a new one, and we are now getting Ultra 400 for $45/month! Thanks all! Was prepared to say we were getting divorced, but they didn't even ask - I think my wife was disappointed They kept the technicolor Docsis 3.0 modem and gave us a Docsis 3.1 E31U2V1 (I think a Ubee). Hopefully it is as stable as the technicolor was. |

I wish I could get that deal here. Though I’m fine with the 100mbps that I have (soon to be 200). Also that’s a good modem; probably the best available currently, besides the SB8200 which is not given out anyways at Charter. I traded my older, but still new Hitron 3.1 modem for the Ubee modem and it’s been great. Can access signals and all, unlike the Technicolor and Hitron version. Also, pings are lower as well for me. Speeds just as consistent. |

Where did you find the 24 month deal? |

I found the deal looking at my address as a new subscriber. |

I just checked my address here once again as a new customer and I am still seeing 400/20 for 24 months for $44.99. This is what I have had since mid September. As I noted elsewhere in this forum, I do live in a neighborhood that is also serviced by Greenlight Networks fiber. Right now the base fiber is $50 a month for 500/50. So I pay $44.99 a month until 9/2020 for 400/20 that tests all the time at above 480 down and about 23 on the upload. 400 speed is also offered on all of the TV packages for me, but we are not going to use their TV services. The TV packages also have 24 month pricing. Competition is a very good thing. |

I'm in SoCal and I'm getting free Ultra offer @ $45 as well, but I'm not seeing anything about 24 months. Where does it indicate the duration?
Can you screenshot where it tells you? |

It will only give you a 24 month price if you are in an area such as mine that has a competing service. And 24 month pricing may not happen all over the country where there is a competing service. |

I just got this about a month ago. Been solid connection (best 465/23). Anything special you have to do to swap router? Have Arris TM1602 Modem and dont like the sagemcom router as they have locked me out of it. |
|
| |
Nope. Just bring back the router to the Spectrum store and ask for a new one. They’ll most likely give you a wave 2 router or something like that. Which is not locked out. |

You’re lucky. I have ATT Fiber here 1000/1000 for 89.99 Also 100/100 for 40.00 But spectrum still 44.99 new customers snd 65.99 rack rate for 100/10
Tried EVERYTHING but no go |

$90/mo for 1000/1000 seems pretty good. Charter wants $105 for 1000/30 even for new customers. Cant complain about $45/mo for 400/20, but might be enticed to upgrade to 1000/1000 for that price. |

Can I really pull this off while maintaining service? I did it. Cancelled by phone, signed up online right after. There was a bit of a problem where they cancelled the account because we did a self install with a customer owned moden, but I never lost connectivity. I told them I was going to do this, BTW. They had no problem with it. |

A 24 month price locked guarantee for Spectrum Internet service that includes a free upgrade to Ultra 400/20 service is ONLY being offered to homes that are in neighborhoods scattered about our county that also have Greenlight Networks fiber service available to them. I can walk less than one mile from my home to a street where they are only being offered the standard 100/10 service for one year for $44.99 a month. The same 24 month pricing applies to bundled service also that includes TV and phone. But only in neighborhoods served also by Greenlight Networks. And right now Greenlight is slowly building out their network in our county. |

Were you guys able to get Spectrum to waive the $50 install fee for Ultra? |
