Anime/Sci Fi/TV → Re: [Anime] Winter Anime 2019

Watched the latest That time I got reincarnated as a Slime, and while I still really enjoy the series, it just seems to be missing something. Sure, Rimuru is making up for his previous life, but he's so OP that his fights are boring.

This week he fights the Orc Disaster Geld, and I start off by saying "Why are you bothering fighting? Just EAT HIM!" - it kinda ruins the fights if ultimately that's what you know he's gonna do. There's no tension, no fear he can lose, he's basically invulnerable to everything, the only thing that wipes him out is using magic to name monsters.

It's fun to watch, but like I said, I just feel it misses something.

Just don't focus on the fights, but on the story.

I am really enjoying that time I got reincarnated as a slime it’s slated for 24 episodes. I am at least 3 years behind in my backlog. I am not really sure where to start I am so far behind.
