Well, after being a "minimal weight" on the system, I was finally able to hit the FAP.

Check out the 3 hours in a row that I was fapped. So much for the 4 hour session.

I'm not surprised by newz71, but doc yours does surprise me on two counts. After a a gap of 4 hours from your large download where you weren't FAP'd I would have expected you to be able to download another 70M worth of stuff before hitting it. Note you weren't FAP'd 3 hours in a row, that included 2 hours of no activity from 4 to 6 not shown, so it was really 5 hours. The second thing that surprised me was that you were able do download 69M while FAP'd in one hour. From what I heard getting FAP'd completely killed your download speed. So far I can say I've missed it. My largest download was a 150M game demo.

Back in Dec if I got fapped (and I did at 40 megs) it totally killed my connection. This time it went to a 2.8 download speed. What is really good about it is that it added about 20 megs to my largest download. the 112 megs and the 19 megs was a single download. But the total size of the file I downloaded was 114 megs.

Hours 4- 6 my machine was turned off so no activity at all. Where I got the 69 megs, it started out downloading extremely fast, I walked away from the machine, got some coffee. When I came back to my machine, I was 6 megs from completion and it took from around 6:15 until 7:30 to get the total of 73 megs.

I think Wade was pointing out the rule about not posting FAP gripes if they have no particular value.

That rule was instituted back when the FAP thing was completely broken and everybody was getting Fapped at about 40MB. The forum turned into one long FAP complaint session for over a month. Since every post looked exactly like the one before it, nothing was really being accomplished in the forum except venting. By popular demand, the rule was put in place to try to get the forum back on track.

While the first post in this thread probably technically violates the rule, the subsequent discussion doesn't, IMHO. Seems to be an intelligent discussion about how the FAP works in certain cases. That would seem to have value to me.

Thanks Petdude. I hopefully wasn't ranting. And if so I didn't mean too. I already vented in my email to them. I only posted my results of getting fapped to inform others. I was in the guidelines when fapped and I have very seldom been fapped. Well, except for in Dec when we all suffered.

Yo, PetDude, I wasn't ranting.

my "YES, I HIT THE FAP" was literal, because I had been trying for a while to activate it to see just when and how it looks.

As my short timeline there shows, I'm not usually much of a strain on the system, and I was thrilled that I had actually finally DLed my "money's worth" and was given the FAP result.

not really sure what it was though since I just rebooted and was still showing a 46 - 48 KB/sec DL speed.

The beginning of this thread was not a rant.

I was experimenting with GetRight.I had it set to 100kbs for the first 3 hours, and on the fourth I cranked it up to 150kbs and WHACK! My wrist still hurts!
