Re: [TWC] CM1000 VS SB 8200That's interesting. I didn't know NE Ohio had 860 MHz plant anywhere. NEO was all legacy TWC 750 to my knowledge.
If they have channel IDs going up to 32 on the node, then I'd expect to see channels going through about 867 MHz instead of stopping at 813 MHz.
Do you have one channel that's not using 256QAM modulation? It may be labeled "Other" or "OFDM". Basically, anything except "256QAM". What's that channel ID and frequency? Or is it not present? If it's not present, then there's definitely a filter present on the line or some other issue there that a tech would need to diagnose.
You may want to call Spectrum and ask to have a dispatch to check your tap for a filter. If they refuse, tell them to look at your modem stats. They should see that channels 25-32 or 26-32 are missing depending on the channel ID of the OFDM channel. |

Ok. It's possible that they haven't turned up more channels for you yet since it looks like they brought up more D3.0 channels 17-24 after that OFDM channel went online.
You're still getting the benefit of that OFDM channel over the CM600. But other than that, your node may not need the extra capacity yet. Or it just hasn't been provisioned and may be coming soon. |
