It's getting to the point, I'm almost afraid to read articles concerning new surveillance techniques. Every one, becomes more intrusive than the next, running on unproven algorithms, created by someone with too much time on their hands. How many times have we read, the "mass shooters", are the quiet, unassuming types, who boggles the minds of everyone who knows them, once they carry out their "mission"? Ludicrous and another upset stomach...  |

Security Theater describes just about everything done to provide security in this country under the guise of national security. More school shootings have been prevented by fellow students reporting strange posts on the person's facebook to the school/police than we will get with microphones in the building. |

Good point. And at the high school level students reporting their observations in, around and out of school will get only sharper and more relied upon by authorities. |

Heaven forbid some kid who is about to commit violence does NOT have a Farcebook acct or send tweets. I actually know a couple of parents who don't alow it. They have non smartphones for emergencies. Weirdo parents to many I guess.
