Otherwise, I would wonder if they are confusing products or reaching for straws. The way they keep warning that trying to upgrade the router's firmware might render it irretrievably useless, I would tend to doubt they keep a backup of the factory-installed firmware on the router.<br><br>Not having a v2 router, I can't say for sure. I know that it doesn't work on my v1 BEFW1S4. You can try it, but I wouldn't expect much (except for restoring default settings).<br><br>Best of luck in your quest.. ]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[gearhead11 posted : Well, believe it or not, they replied to my e-mail and sent me the firmware.  Unfortunately, I noticed that the BIN file was named "befw11s4v2_1427_code.bin".  This led me to believe that they accidentally sent me the 1.42.7 beta version.  I have sent another e-mail message back to them asking if what they sent me was truly the 1.40.2 version.<br><br>I'll re-post when I get an answer from them.]]></description>
