[CATV] ACC Network

Anyone know what channel the ACC network will be on? I tried to look online and nothing has been posted yet. I'm just curious.

I wonder if Charter just signed to carry it earlier in the week, because last week they were not listed as a provider to carry the network when I checked.

The network doesn't launch until 8/22/2019 so you aren't missing anything »en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AC ··· _Network

Yes they did. They were negotiating a major contract for every single disney channel. The contract expired on july 31st but they were working on the deal for ESPN+, Disney+, Hulu for Spectrum guide. The only change I noticed in my area this week was Jewelry TV is now in HD instead of SD. They have been making under the radar changes. My area got two international premiums simulcasted in HD a few weeks back with no channel notices. I would have to think non ACC territory in legacy TWC areas would have it on channel 386 next to SEC Extra on 385 that have room for it. ACC territory would likely have sub 100 channel slot if available and 386 if on the national channel lineup.

Will it be on a certain spectrum package like silver or do you need digital tier 2?

I don't know if it's packaged elsewhere or maybe it's now included within the broadcast TV fee, but I haven't seen a regional sports fee on my Spectrum TV bill in ages.

SEC is on 336 here. I'm in an old TWC market the only spots I see on our line up is 307 next to ESPN Goal line or 314 where the old spectrum sports channel was it's still up with a slide saying it stopped broadcasting etc. According to what I saw online it said it was going to be on the select package.

From what I saw online it's going to be on the select package on up. So, everyone will get it.

Me either. They'll figure out something to pass on the expense next year probably.

That's not what I read online. It's going to be like the SEC network and the Big ten network everybody is supposed to get it.

Technically yes it has. They have a test pattern up and it is already being added to systems in prep for the august 22nd launch.

I'm going to try and find out from a friend of mine that works for spectrum in their engineering area here locally and see when they're going to add it. They told me before they try and put up new channels on the system a couple of days before launch so they're not rushed to get it on right away. That would be Tuesday. I'll post again if I find out today.

Thanks, they (BHN at least) had SEC Network up several days leading up to the launch with the test pattern; hoping we can get it here, too, because other providers (looking at you DirecTV) tend to be late in turning the signal on for launch

I talked to my friend a little bit ago. They're working on getting it up and running this weekend. Some areas of the country could see it as early as Monday others might not see it till Wednesday or even Thursday before it launches. It's not supposed to launch till 7 pm Thursday night according to them. Also, the whole footprint is getting it just like the big ten and SEC networks. And channel numbers will vary depending on where you are. They're talking about doing an email blast to let everyone know what the channel numbers are going to be. That's all I know at this point.

The legal notices are up. ACC Network will be in Select and higher. Channel 388 for L-TWC areas on the National Channel Line Up. Also looks like Family Entertainment TV (FETV) will be replacing one of the Shop Zeal channels and Gems Shopping Network is going HD.

According to what I've read, Disney is requiring that it be on the same tier as the main ESPN channel within the ACC footprint, just like the SEC Network is. So if you're within the ACC footprint (presumably a state that has an ACC school located within it) then the ACC Network should be on the TV Select tier.

Do you have a link for that? Channel 388 is currently the Big 10 overflow channel. It seems odd that they would stick it there instead of on 386, which is currently unoccupied.

EDIT: Nevermind, I found it. "Effective on or after August 20, 2019, ACC Network HD will launch on Spectrum Select channel 388."

Must be going out region-by-region if I had to guess. I looked through the legal notices page this morning and saw nothing other than the notice about FETV replacing Zeal 7 in my region.

Also looks like Charter is standardizing the hindi packages in Los Angeles and North Texas. From the looks of it legacy Charter is adding the packages to the systems owned by charter pre-merger. Also this is the readd of Zee TV to those systems since Charter dropped the two Zee TV channels a few years back.

Oddly, I don't get the Big 10 Network or Pac 12 Network as part of the Spectrum TV Silver package here in NC, but for whatever reason I'm able to stream those channels through the Spectrum app.

Those were added under TWC. But yes they have in the past excluded channels Longhorn Network is restricted outside of Texas. They used to carry it in the former bresnan systems out west along with the Louisiana L-CHTR systems dropped it. Now that we have date of August 20th for channel 388 it is likely national (if your system has the bandwidth) some smaller systems have forgone a lot of channel adds due to no room (below 750MHz)

it is a glitch. Spectrum has those on Digi Tier 2 and gold packages only outside of their respective territories.

Same with us. I saw a few empty spaces for channels where the sports category of channels are. we don't have the national lineup in my area. I checked the legal notices on the spectrum site and the only area announced is New York state so far with a channel number 388.

Just showed up on my TiVo in metro Atlanta on channel 337. An HD promo loop is currently running for ACCN.
