Replacing coaxial splitters suggestion.

All mess

Hi, I have 3 splitters (probably 20 years old) joining all the rooms in the house (see pictures), is there a "all-in-one" that can work the same way instead of this mess without loosing strength/signal? I need to joint at least 8 coax cables to 1 IN.

I see this:

same directly from monoprice:
»www.monoprice.com/produc ··· id=10017

here is another from homedepot:
»www.homedepot.com/p/Anto ··· 00490947

but not sure if it will work.. not sure about signal stuff.. if you can suggest a model I could use it would be great..

Here are some pics of the ones I currently have.. I think these are bi-directional.

Any suggestion would be very much appreciated..

If they are all direct run to each room then you shouldn’t have an issue. They may be configured that way for a reason. I would make note before you disconnect them in case you have any issues.

Unless you have some strange hook up now, your loss will be the same. Is your router hooked in those splitters?

Thanks!
Yes, the coax line goes straight from the main splitter to the G110 router and each other line goes directly to each individual room - so just individual runs.. this setup was set before FIOS was in the house (It was comcast before then and when FIOS showed up they just reused the connectors/coaxial cables), the coax cables are used mainly for moca setup to for now (I have Tivo units only and no VZ boxes) so the internet is delivered to the Fios router via Ethernet (100/100) - I have planned to replace the G110 router at some point but I haven't come around it yet..

I also remember Comcast had a a/c powered splitter (like the one in the picture) connected to the line IN and the FIOS technician took it out, he said it was not needed anymore..

Maybe is not worth the trouble and leave it alone... thanks for your comments, I appreciate it.

Don't use a cable amplifier unless it is MoCA rated. Standard cable amps do not pass MoCA. FiOS doesn't need cable amplifiers becuase the signal is plenty strong out of the ONT, unlike cable where it's traveled a long distance before entering the premise. That's why the tech removed the amp.

If it's working, I say leave it alone. Why do you want to change anything? Just to neaten it up?

Yes, basically to make it look neater, its working fine as is.. just a thought to have it more organized, thats all.

As already said, don't hook up the amp. There is zero need for amps in FiOS. The signal out the the ONT is typically 12-14 db. So if there is bad signal coming off an 8 way splitter then the coax is bad.
