Mediacom → DNS Suffix Changed

Hi,

My DNS Suffix for a very long time has been utopia.net, which was apparently a virus that infected any connected devices in the router. I noticed that it switched to "rid.mccdp.com", what does this mean? Is this a Mediacom suffix or is this another virus? Any help appreciated.

Are you using a Mediacom gateway router combo? From the suffix ending it appears that you are Yes those are compromise devices however it may appear Mediacom has introduced updated firmware to read the issue it's hard to say for sure I would say reach out to Mediacom Chad
