AT&T server missing from SpeedTest.NetJust curious, anyone else not seeing an AT&T server listed when using speedtest.net? This may be a localized thing in the Nashville TN area. Was just wondering if anyone else doesn't see one listed anymore.
No matter if I try it from an AT&T circuit, Comcast circuit, an L3 circuit or on Verizon cellular, I do not see any local AT&T server anymore. The only major carriers listed are Comcast and Sprint (plus other local carriers). |

All the att servers in the US are not visible anymore. Just Mexico. I’m in Louisville. |

Thanks gadawg. I'm still a bit foggy this morning. Wonder why they've removed them. We use them for helping end users with connection issues at their homes (if they have AT&T) and may have to revise documentation. |

Been that way a few days in St. Louis. Also have been getting momentarily dropped on occasion with ATT ADSL but don't know if its related to the speed test.
Really need to upgrade my service someday. |

Try this AT&T URL to see if AT&T servers are listed The logic has been modified to only show you AT&T servers when you are on an AT&T connection. The 99.xx.xx.xx severs are all on the lightspeed network (AT&T Fiber). » www.att.com/support/speedtest/ (Still the SpeedTest branding) Dave |

Nothing listed there either. It's still using Ookla, so they aren't listed there when using that link. |

Wonder where it's connecting to. I'm going to try hooking its wan port (red ont) to a lan port on my switch. If the broadband light goes on I should be able to run a similar test while monitoring the connection.
Edit: No go.. just a flashing red light. |

I'm also in the middle TN area and no longer see the AT&T Nashville speedtest server. I had been using that one for years. |

I wonder if att dumped their speedtest servers and contracted out Speed testing to ookla? I think dslreports used to handle their att.com speedtest. |

Yeah I can't get a AT&T server even using AT&T's own speedtest site. If I do "select automatically" I get "Comcast" in Little Rock, AR/ |

Same thing here in Fort Worth, Getting uploads below 200 and downloads just above 500 on a Gig connection. Nothing else is running in the house, tried the AT&T specific website for speed test, no AT&T servers, connected me automatically to Frontier. Over the last week to 10 days, the service has gone to crap. When looking in the AT&T modem it says 1 gig connection, something is lying and I believe it is AT&T |

I guess the only way to run a speed test that stays on AT&T's network right now is using the gateways built in speed test. I have no idea what server exactly it's downloading and uploading to but I think it's safe to say it dosen't leave AT&T's network. This is the description on the speed test page of the gateway. "This Speed Test measures the speed between the AT&T network and your BGW210-700 device. It does NOT measure the speed between your BGW210-700 and your home devices (e.g., PC, laptop, tablet, smartphone)." Hopefully they fix this issue with speedtest.net and their own web based speed test. |

Can someone using one of the gateway bypass methods please perform a packet capture between their ONT and gateway while running the gateway speed test? This would help us determine how it's implemented. |

Could it be that the servers were taken down for upgrades/maintenance? Considering AT&T’s lowest and only Fiber package now is Internet 1000 maybe they’re getting ready to launch multi-gig speeds and the servers are being upgraded to support multi-gig Speedtests? Just a wild guess. |

'T multi-gig residential is a pipe dream for quite a while. I wonder if even 0.5% of their installed base can LEGALLY saturate a gig connection right now ...... |

He has a USB Ethernet adapter connected to his phone. The two arrow symbol by the alarm clock, top bar of first image, means Ethernet. |

Interesting. I should give that a try. I've been using the chicago comcast service which achieves full speed in both directions. |
