Re: Heinz Ketchup Production Coming Back to Canada

It's moronic to be buying or not buying products for silly nationalistic stupidities, is this what this is about? I remember the morons who used to buy coffee only at Tim Horton's because they were "canadian" and the traitorous corporation sold itself to Wendy's, an American corporation. Whoosh there went all that silly canadian pride.

The same idiots who participate in these anti-American boycotts are the same ones driving American Fords and Chevys.

Heinz has a 76% market share for ketchup in 2020, down 7 points from 2015. That kind of shift doesn't happen randomly.

My wife does, for some reason.

Had a mini bottle left over from an airline meal, nothing special about it other than it being in a weird little micro ketchup style bottle.

I tried and I can't taste a difference between french's mustard, Heniz or the yellow labeled store brand. If you like Dijon try Maille's though french's is good as well but the taste profile is a bit more acidic.

So does my father-in-law. I don't mind it, but prefer French's.

Back in the 80's I used to pack 4 sandwiches for lunch every day so we went through a lot of mustard. One day in a butcher shop I noticed that they had these one gallon jars of Heinz mustard on the bottom shelf and that they were only $3.
That was an immediate buy. Just poured/spooned it in a funnel and into a French's squeeze bottle.
I like it just fine and kept buying it for years.
