Remote that's compatible with FIOS TV One voice commands?

I know this topic was brought up once before but I tried and tried to search and I could not find the thread. Apologies.

I've been waiting for the longest for Logitech to either update their Harmony Elite so the box can take voice commands or make a new remote that will.
Anyone with any info on any remotes that are able to take voice commands?

Thanks!

Ok, let me try it this. ( ).

Does anyone have a Logitech Elite where they're able to give voice commands to their VMS4100?

Thanks!

You're not getting responses, because such a thing does not exist.

The existing Logitech remotes are not voice capable. A software update, will not add that feature.

And, rumor has it that Logitech may be getting out of the remote game completely. So don't expect new hardware any time soon.

Thanks for replying. But their flagship remote is voice capable with Alexa and Google but looks like not with Fios. I was hoping it did exist but you know how it is, some people just dont post cause it slips their mind or,.......idk, take your pick. So i figured if I switch the question around, i'd get a response. It was worth a shot. Hehe.

Thanks anyway.

Not in the sense that you are thinking, where you can speak directly to the remote and have it do something. You can setup an Alexa (via Harmony skill) or Google device (with Harmony integration) and use those to issue commands like change channels or adjust the volume. I have the Harmony skill setup and can issue commands like "Alexa, turn on the TV" or "Alexa, change the channel to 603".

And there you have it. Your rumor post was correct. Logitech is pulling out of the remote business. Now to find a manufacturer with similar functions and LCD screen like Logitech Touch remotes.

And DO keep in mind that URC will NOT give or sell an end-user access to the software needed to prog those Complete Control remote controls - so if you really want one, you'll have to pay a URC-certified installer to actually prog it. (unless you can get the software "another way") Same thing if you add/change A/V components & want the remote reprogrammed...

Wait,.....WHAT? Aw come on. I have to get a certified whatchamahoozit installer to program the thing?
CURSE YOU LOGITECH! AND THE HORSE YOU RODE IN ON for causing this!!!
(rant over. hehe )

I'll prob pass on this remote since programming by a certified installer is a must.
Good looking remotes though!

Blame all the appliances and the tiny remotes that aren’t compatible with universal remotes and the voice control that everyone jumped on. The market dried up.

Amen. You hit the nail right on the head. I don't want to go back to USING ALL those remotes for all my A/V devices, game consoles. Logitech came out with harmonies that controlled everything, nice lcd screen with customizable icons, commands, and lots of software updates. I was just waiting forever for them to come up with an update or updated remote thats compatible with FIOS tv ONE voice commands and looks like its not going to happen. You google best universal remotes, Logitech devices will have at least 4-6 of their out of 10-12 on the list.

Do you have Alexa in your home? VMS has an Alexa skill.

No. Trying to stay away from those "eavesdropping" devices.
