Re: LTE slower after 5G rollout?Funny you say that.. I am with Koodo and I find speedtests to be a lock at exactly 50 or 100mbps depending on the time of day. It's been a long time since I hit anything over 200mbps, upload speeds have been significantly lower as well. Might be a Bell Wireless Internet LTE allocation thing in my particular area though... I figure it'll be a year or two before 5G is noticeable anywhere in eastern Ontario lol |

I am with Koodo as well, but they share the towers with Bell, thats why im posting here...
I am not seeing any sort of hard cap of 50 or 100, but it is much slower than it used to be, i'm just guessing because it appears that Bell re-used the 2100mhz spectrum for 5G so they took that out of the LTE aggregation that most better phones support.
Telus of course isn't allowing Koodo 5G yet (I do have a 5G capable phone). |
