Re: Public endangerment by Law "Enforcement"

As someone who works in emergency services my comments are from a tactical point of view. It is not acceptable to allow an unknown person in a vehicle to lead a police officer into a trap. If I was in that troopers shoes, that would have been my first instinct. Especially in 2021 the way law enforcement is vilified.

I’m not defending his actions in any way, shape, or form. Just stating my opinion on a police officer allowing himself to be led into a potentially dangerous situation.

He should have followed and awaited backup.

Cuts both ways. I'm not going to stop if I feel unsafe and/or am not sure it's a real cop behind me. Look at what happened in Nova Scotia with a fake RCMP vehicle.

The difference is that she didn’t call 911… not that this trooper gave her enough time to call 911…

However, he was in a marked vehicle that she passed and had a good look at.

Those people saw a RCMP vehicle.

Well, a fairly effective fake police vehicle.

No they didn’t. They saw a convincing fake.

Now you are delving into semantics. Yes, the vehicle was a fake. But it was convincing enough to fool people. That's all that matters. It only needs to be good enough to fool you for an instant, while you are driving.
