What We Do in the Shadows - Season 3

Shocked this wasn't a preemptive thread before the season started:

Great season, they keep finding a way to keep the show inventive. This season really pushes Guillermo's role as a familiar bodyguard.

From The Daily Beast, stating the show is TV's best half-hour comedy (spoilers therein):

Is the series as good as the movie?

Fans of What We Do in the Shadows should check out Stath Lets Flats

The cast is different but it does Star Natasia Demetriou (Sophie) with her real life brother Jamie Demetriou. Both series have charm and are funny in unique ways.

Tough call. The series does its own thing and has links (in multiple ways) back to the movie.

I like both for different reasons.

I can only find S2 vids, no S1.

Stath Lets Flats, IIRC, both season 1 and season 2 are on HBO Max. Not sure about season 3.

I would say it's way better than the movie. I thought the premise of the movie was funny but I didn't find the movie itself very funny. No, that's not right, I thought the movie kind of sucked. The first 30 minutes were amusing because of the idea but not because of the antics.

The TV show on the other hand, I will laugh out loud at least once during an episode which is rare for me.

They have a much more engaging set of characters whose antics keep you entertained. The premise of the movie seemed to float the movie to its end but the TV show gives you new insight into the characters and their issues each episode so it has a 'new' feeling each episode. And a couple guest appearances along the way.

The latest episode, where the vampire Sire gets out, was hilarious.
The Baron's various modes of transport were cracking me up.

Yea, it was a funny episode. I was expecting a bit more from the 'Sire' but it was fun nonetheless.
