So several hours ago I noticed that a number of shows I'd scheduled for recording had the recording cancelled.

When I look on the Guide, instead of the 3 solid overlapping circles indicating to record all (new) episodes, it shows the cancelled symbol. When I then tried to manually set a recording, at first it just showed a message briefly in the upper right corner saying that I had to be subscribed to that channel, but eventually just showed no effect when setting the recording and show the cancelled icon on the Guide. Oh, shows on CBS, ABC, and NBC are fine. Shows on PBS, local Fox, CNBC, CNN, ESPN, Fox Sports, to name just a few, won't allow me to record them any more. (And yes, they are all in my package.)
I reset my TV box with no change. I reset my modem with no change. I called the help number and let the automated routine do another reset, it didn't help. It called back 10 minutes later, and when I told it the problem wasn't fixed, it asked if I wanted an agent to call me. I said yes. We confirmed the appropriate number to call and it said an agent will call me. (The wait for me to hold was at least 20 minutes.) So that was hours ago. I tried chat, and after asking if I wanted to chat with an agent was told by the chat bot that no agent was available and I could call in.
I did check with a friend in a nearby town and they have the same issue, so I know it's nothing in my apartment.
Anyone know what the problem is? Or how to get Comcast to deal with it?
