Yes it is allowed. I would avoid it though. As it has the dreaded Puma 6 chip in it.

I’ve had this modem for a couple years. It has worked fine for the 200meg tier. But I may look for a docsis3.1 modem

I'm currently using this modem on the 500mb tier and I'm consistently getting on average 512 down and 47 up.

I would not use it on anything above 300Mbps, just due to WOW generally having a larger number of users per node, if you want consistent speeds.

When I had WOW, anytime I used my SB6190 (backup) on the 500/50 plan, it was more like ~250-350Mbps mid day, but always got a solid 50Mbps upload.

A used SB8200, CM1000, or new CM1100, S33 would serve you much better and future proof you for higher speeds.
