Yes, nothing happens with any form of auto negotiate, including a combination of those two rates selected only. My UI is a bit difference they are check boxes instead of dropdowns, but its the same interface dialog.
I was reading up on this, and apparently anything greater than 1Gbps and less than 10Gbps is required to be auto negotiated by the standard, it cannot be forced. I suspect there may be some hacks, but officially it can't.
I've got a SFP+ PCIe card (Intel X520-DA1 82599EN) and I've built the bleeding edge drivers from source, as apparently 2.5/5 support was only added recently. Hoping to try that this evening.
Just got freshly installed NA20A. Bridge mode (Port 1) works, as well as 10Gb or Full. I had to power cycle NA20A after putting it in bridge mode otherwise green light would blink indefinitely. Once in bridge mode, after changing bridge config I had to press reset button, but not full power off/on.
And, of course, once you select full, there is no going back. You can't connect back to NA20A, so only factory reset will do. Also, factory reset while on, doesn't do anything. It has to be off for factory reset to work.
In the end I settled for bridging 10Gb port, and it's going into pfSense to Intel X550-T2. I have available Netgear XS708T switch with 2 SFP/SFP+ ports but did not try to move Nokia branded SFP from NA20A to it.
Ah, one more thing. IPv6 does not work in bridged mode. Only IPv4 is offered.
